The Robotic Actuators and Dynamics Lab at Arizona State University (ASU) is recruiting motivated candidates for a fully-funded PhD position in robot learning and control, starting Fall 2026. The lab, part of the School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy (SEMTE), focuses on machine learning and control of robots for locomotion and mobile manipulation, using customized platforms such as quadruped and humanoid robots. The research will span robotics, autonomous systems, control, and machine learning, with opportunities to work on advanced robotics technologies and systems integration.

Applicants should hold a BS or MS in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field, and possess strong skills in control, machine learning, dynamics modeling, autonomous systems, and embedded systems.
