Join the DFG Emmy Noether project “Trajectories of erosion-induced soil change on tropical arable land” (TASC) at the University of Augsburg, Institute of Geography.

?? Position 1: Reconstructing erosion-induced soil change in the Brazilian Cerrado over the past 60 years, using fallout radionuclides and long-term erosion plot data.
?? Position 2: Developing and testing a process-oriented model of erosion-induced tropical-soil change, using tracer experiments under natural and simulated rainfall.

What's required

Applicants should hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Geography, Environmental Science, Earth Science, Soil Science, or a related field. Experience with erosion measurement techniques, environmental modelling, or tracer experiments is desirable. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in English are required. Motivation to work in interdisciplinary and international teams is expected.
