A fully funded PhD scholarship is available at the University of Newcastle, Australia, for an innovative project at the intersection of human-centered artificial intelligence, psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and neurotechnology. The research will explore how AI can contribute to body image and emotion research, with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches combining clinical and cognitive psychology with advanced AI methods. The successful candidate will join a vibrant research team led by Dr. Jayanthi Raman and Professor Ami Eidels, working across the Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses in New South Wales. The scholarship covers full tuition and provides a generous stipend of AUD $37,000 per year, along with support for conference attendance and travel. Applicants should have an Honours or Master’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, computer science, or a related field, with strong academic performance, excellent scientific writing and analytical skills, and some experience in research methodologies or data analysis.
