Postdoctoral Researcher in Integrated RFIC/MMIC Design for Full-Duplex MIMO Systems at Chalmers University of Technology

The Microwave Electronics Laboratory at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, is inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in Integrated Circuits for Full-Duplex Communication and Sensing. This opportunity is part of classIC, the Swedish Multidisciplinary Research Center for Semiconductor System Design, and is supervised by Professor Christian Fager. The research targets advanced challenges in modern RF systems, specifically self-interference mitigation for in-band full-duplex MIMO systems. The focus is on developing novel integrated microwave circuit architectures in the 7–20 GHz range, utilizing RFIC/CMOS and MMIC technologies. The successful candidate will join a highly international and multidisciplinary team, collaborating on the co-design of antennas, RF front-ends, and signal processing. The position offers access to world-class measurement facilities at the Kollberg Laboratory, which supports research from DC up to terahertz frequencies and is renowned for its advanced instrumentation and open research environment. The laboratory's infrastructure enables cutting-edge research in wireless communications, radar sensors, and space exploration, with applications in autonomous vehicles and high-frequency systems. Responsibilities include conducting high-impact research, contributing to publications, supervising PhD students, and shaping future research directions in high-capacity communication and sensing. Applicants should hold a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Microwave Electronics, Integrated Circuits, or a related field, with experience in RFIC/CMOS and MMIC technologies, and knowledge of full-duplex communication and MIMO systems.
