The School of Nursing and Midwifery, established in 1996, is recognized for its national and international research collaborations and offers a structured PhD program that includes taught modules and research support seminars. Students are required to complete between 10 and 30 ECTS credits, including a mandatory module on Research Integrity in an Open Scholarship Era and a foundation module in Research Methods for Health Care. The studentship covers full EU or non-EU tuition fees and provides an annual maintenance stipend of €25,000, making it one of the most generous PhD funding packages in Ireland.
