UM Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025 in Multiple Disciplines (Health Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, Chinese Medicine)

The University of Macau is inviting applications for its prestigious UM Postdoctoral Fellow programme, designed for emerging researchers who have recently completed or are about to complete their PhD. This 2-year, fully funded postdoctoral opportunity is open to candidates from a wide range of disciplines, including Health Sciences, Materials Engineering, Social Sciences, Chinese Medicine, Science and Technology, Microelectronics, Business Administration, Law, Education, and Arts and Humanities. The programme aims to attract outstanding PhD graduates to strengthen the university's research capabilities and foster a globally oriented academic community. Eligible applicants must have obtained their PhD degree from a top-ranked university (Top 200 THE/QS or Double First-Class in China) within the last 2 years, or expect to receive their degree within 6 months of the application deadline. A strong academic track record, demonstrated by publications, patents, presentations, or academic awards, is required. Current UM Postdoctoral Fellows under the UM Talent Programme are not eligible to apply. The fellowship offers a competitive annual remuneration starting from MOP 336,000 (approximately USD 41,480), with an effective local tax rate of about 5–7%.
