Fully Funded Master's Fellowships in Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Sustainable Development (AFAS)

The African Climate and Environment Centre – Future African Savannas (AFAS) is offering 18 fully funded master's fellowships for highly motivated graduates interested in tackling climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development in African savannas. The program emphasizes nature-based solutions and the science–policy–practice interface, providing interdisciplinary training and stakeholder-oriented research opportunities. Fellows will address real-world problems linked to national, regional, and global climate and biodiversity agendas. Study locations include the University of Nairobi (Kenya) and Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny (Côte d’Ivoire). Thematic focus areas are Water, Agriculture, Energy, One Health, and Biodiversity. The University of Nairobi is recognized for its commitment to scholarly excellence, research, and innovation, offering a vibrant academic environment and support for international students.
