Faculty Position in Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Systems at VinUniversity
VinUniversity's Faculty of Electrical Engineering is seeking applications for a full-time, research-focused faculty position within the Environmental Intelligence Research Cluster. The position is open to candidates with a PhD (or equivalent terminal/professional degree) in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Embedded Systems. The research cluster is home to the Center for Material Intelligence and Technology and the Center for Environmental Intelligence, focusing on advanced engineering and intelligent systems.
Key research areas include high-power wireless charging for electric vehicles, AI-enabled digital twin energy systems, intelligent power electronics and adaptive control, autonomous robotic and vehicle systems, IC design, semiconductors, and the Internet of Things. The university emphasizes AI/Machine Learning, Data Science, Environmental Intelligence, Innovations in Health Sciences, Policy Development, and Sustainable Societies as part of its vision.
Applicants should demonstrate teaching ability, a track record or potential for high-quality, externally funded research, and experience with industry engagement. Preferred candidates will have Assistant Professor, Postdoctoral, or equivalent experience, with a strong emphasis on independent research and effective teaching. VinUniversity has strategic collaborations with Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania and was recently appointed by UNESCO as the first and only UNESCO University Chair focusing on Environmental Leadership, Cultural Heritage, and Biodiversity.
