The University College Dublin (UCD) School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems is offering a prestigious Ad Astra PhD Scholarship in Global Health, commencing in September 2026. The student will also join the UCD IRIS Centre, contributing to collaborative and innovative health systems research.

What's required
Applicants must have an academic background in health, social science, or education, with experience in qualitative, quantitative, and/or mixed methods research. Candidates must have either a minimum of an upper second-class degree in a relevant Bachelor's field or a Master's degree in a relevant field. Experience as a family carer is particularly welcome. Non-native English speakers or those whose degree was not taught in English must provide a valid English language proficiency certificate (IELTS or TOEFL, not older than two years).
