About this position

A challenging yet rewarding journey.
Our recently completed British Council-funded project, in collaboration with Tongji University, brought together an incredible team of staff and students.
What did we achieve?
? Strengthened research ties between universities.
? Created learning opportunities for BSc students in Architectural Design Technology, Architecture, and Engineering.
? Opened up placement opportunities for MSc engineering students.
This project wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of our students, staff, and technical team at dfUEL.
But we’re not stopping here!
This research will continue for the next two years, backed by a fully funded PhD studentship at UEL School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering , and Engineering. We’ll be focusing on the energy and structural performance of 3D Printed Concrete.
Want to see the work firsthand?
Some of our printed prototypes and samples will be on display at the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability at UEL.
Exciting times ahead! ??

Sharing some of the results of our recently completed British Council funded project in collaboration with Tongji University in China. A challenging, yet rewarding project, that involved many staff and students. The project not only strengthened research and collaboration between the two universities but also provided opportunities for many of our BSc students from Architectural Design Technology, Architecture, and Engineering as well as placement opportunities for our MSc engineering courses.

Many thanks to Mohan Dungarani
, our Research Assistant, for preparing the documents and to all the staff and students who contributed to the project some of whom have been mentioned on the webpage. A truly collaborative project that owes its success to the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm of several students and staff including our technical team at dfUEL .

The project will continue for the next 2 years, thanks to a fully funded PhD studentship by the UEL School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering , with ongoing research on the Energy and Structural Performances of 3D Printed Concrete.

Some of the printed prototypes and samples will be available to view at the Royal Docks Centre for Sustainability at UEL.
