I wanted to share an exciting opportunity for highly motivated students interested in Robotics, Computer Vision, and Agriculture. Dr. Taeyeong Choi’s Learning and Sensing Research (LaSER) Lab at Kennesaw State University (KSU), located in the Atlanta, Georgia area, is looking for PhD candidates to join their Computer Science PhD program, starting in August 2025.
What’s offered:
Full funding: Includes tuition coverage + a monthly stipend of $2,400
Cutting-edge Research: Focus on AI/Robotics for Agriculture and Food Production
Mentorship: Work in a multidisciplinary team and get training to become an independent researcher

What they’re looking for:
Academic Background: BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Applied Math, Physics, or related fields
Skills: Strong programming skills in Python, algorithm development, and excellent communication
Research Mindset: Curiosity, perseverance, and an ambition for innovative research
Bonus qualifications:
Experience in machine/deep learning projects
Programming experience with robot platforms (e.g., ROS)
Knowledge of Linux, Jupyter Notebook, GitHub, and probability/statistics
Paper writing experience
