About this position
TWO PhD POSITIONS OPEN IN CHEMISTRY OF CIRCULAR ECONOMY GROUPWe are looking for two motivated PhD students with background in organic-/polymer chemistry, preferably with experience from cellulosic biopolymers or lignin.Topic of the projects are derivatization of biomass for composites and characterization of molecular interactions within the created composite materials. Strong hands-on skills in with lab equipment and analytical instruments, with innovative and proactive research approach are essential in these positions. Experience from extrusion processing of polymers, and/or characterization methods including DSC, TGA, FT-IR, NMR, and mass spectrometry are assets.Positions are funded from doctoral education pilot, aiming for 3-year intensive research projects to finalize the dissertation.
