The University of Göttingen is inviting applications for a fully funded PhD position in the field of Future of Work, Artificial Intelligence, and International Human Resource Management. The position is based at the Chair of Human Resource Management and International Management, led by Professor Fabian Froese. The research group focuses on cutting-edge topics such as artificial intelligence and work, virtual and hybrid work, virtual reality, global mobility and expatriation, and diversity and inclusion management.
The successful candidate will pursue a PhD in Business Administration, engaging in international research projects with clear publication-oriented goals. The group offers a highly international academic environment, structured and intensive PhD supervision, and strong support for publishing in leading international journals. Joint publications with the supervisor and international collaborators are encouraged, and financial support is available for international conferences, workshops, and research stays.
Applicants should hold an excellent Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as business, economics, psychology, information systems, applied statistics, or sociology, and demonstrate strong empirical research skills. A clear research interest in the Future of Work and related areas is essential. The working language is English, and no German language skills are required. International experience is valued but not mandatory.
