We are offering a fully funded PhD in:
Data-Centric Offshore Site Characterisation for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure
?? Supervisory Team: Dr Shuyin Feng, Dr Andy Lim , Dr Florimond Gueniat
?? Start: 2 Feb 2026
?? Funding: £20,780 tax-free stipend + full tuition (UK & International)
?? Duration: 36 months
We’re looking for candidates with a background in Geotechnical Engineering, Earth Science, Data Science, or related fields — plus strong analytical/programming skills.
You’ll develop AI/ML models to integrate multi-source seabed data, reducing the cost and environmental impact of offshore site investigations, and supporting sustainable energy infrastructure.
