A fully-funded PhD position in Structural Engineering is available at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), starting in 2025. This position is focused on Graded Porous Cementitious Structures.
Details:
A PhD position is available in UNSW Civil and Environmental Engineering . Scholarships ($37,684 per annum, 3-3.5 years) and other supports will be provided to the strong candidate. The success of this project will bring the candidate 1) exceptional research achievements; 2) wide academic and industrial connections; 3) a great career path as an engineer/researcher.
Essential criteria:
1. Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Material, or Mechanical Engineering;
2. Minimum GPA of 85/100;
3. Sufficient knowledge in computational mechanics and FEA, and structural materials and construction;
4. Abilities to work in a team and to communicate effectively with industrial and research partners;
5. For international applicants, if necessary, meeting the English language test requirements: IELTS 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest); TOFEL iBT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking); PTE 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest).
* Research experience and track record will be advantageous.
