The Division of Nano Life Science focuses on interdisciplinary research at the nanometer scale, combining nanotechnology, chemistry, and life sciences. Research activities range from fundamental science, such as advanced nanometrology and atomic force microscopy, to clinical applications like cancer diagnosis and precision medicine. The division is supported by the Nano Life Science Institute (NanoLSI), part of Japan’s World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI), offering students access to state-of-the-art facilities and global research networks.
Applicants should have a strong academic background in one or more relevant fields and excellent communication skills in English or Japanese. A Master’s degree is required prior to enrollment. Financial support is available for students facing hardship, with full or partial tuition waivers offered to those with outstanding academic performance.
