The Graduate School of Frontier Science Initiative at Kanazawa University in Japan offers a unique interdisciplinary PhD program designed for highly motivated candidates seeking to become future research leaders. The graduate school is organized into two specialized divisions: the Division of Transdisciplinary Sciences and the Division of Nano Life Science. The Division of Nano Life Science focuses on interdisciplinary research at the nanometer scale, combining nanotechnology, chemistry, and life sciences. The division is supported by the Nano Life Science Institute (NanoLSI), part of Japan’s World Premier International Research Center Initiative (WPI), offering students access to state-of-the-art facilities and global research networks.

Applicants should have a strong academic background in one or more relevant fields and excellent communication skills in English or Japanese. A Master’s degree is required prior to enrollment.
