About this position

PhD position One graduate research assistantship and one postdoctoral research position will be available at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), beginning Spring or Fall 2025, studying the Interacting effects of climate change and land use on microbiomes and carbon storage in managed dryland systems. This USDA-funded project will support a multi-university project with faculty, students, and staff from UTEP and the University of Arizona. Research will take place in the Chihuahuan and Sonoran Deserts and will also include greenhouse experiments, lab incubations, microbiome analyses, and microbial-focused carbon modeling.
