About this position

?? PhD Opportunity: Optimising Strategies for Brain Delivery Using Liposome- and Polymeric-Based Nanoparticles

Are you passionate about nanomedicine and brain research?
Join my lab to explore cutting-edge approaches for targeted drug delivery to the central nervous system (CNS). This fully funded MIBTP PhD project will investigate how liposomal and polymeric nanoparticles can be engineered and optimised to cross the brain’s protective barriers and deliver therapeutics more effectively.
The project combines nanotechnology, pharmacology, and translational neuroscience, offering a unique opportunity to develop skills in nanoparticle formulation, physicochemical characterisation, and in vivo evaluation of brain-targeted delivery systems.
This interdisciplinary work will advance our understanding of nanoparticle design principles for CNS applications, supporting the development of next-generation therapies for neurological disorders.

?? Based at Aston University within the Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership (MIBTP).
