PhD and Master student positions are available in the Climate Change and Sustainable Development program at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. These funded positions, supervised by Saurabh Biswas, Ph.D., focus on a transdisciplinary study exploring the nexus of climate change, infrastructures, and human well-being in large metropolitan regions of South and Southeast Asia. The research aims to understand how diverse social groups are affected by multiple and co-existing vulnerabilities resulting from the intersection of climate change and infrastructure challenges.

The ideal candidates should be interested in problem-driven research, comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative data, and open to conducting intensive field work. The positions are suitable for students who wish to engage in impactful research addressing real-world issues related to environmental science, sociology, and geography. Both PhD and Master positions are fully or partially funded through scholarship awards, with funding covering at least 3.5 years for the PhD and 2 years for the Master position.
