The Department of Ecosystem Science and Management at the University of Wyoming is offering a fully funded Ph.D. Graduate Assistantship in Soil Health. The position focuses on research related to soil health, nutrient cycling, and sustainable management of rangeland and cropping systems, with a particular emphasis on Wyoming Rangeland Soil Health. The research will investigate soil–plant–animal interactions under working rangeland conditions and provide advanced training in soil health assessment, ecosystem processes, and stakeholder-engaged science.

Research responsibilities include designing and conducting field experiments, working with ranchers and land managers, collecting and analyzing soil, plant, and water data, preparing research reports, presenting findings at conferences, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
