This PhD position at the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology – BIPS GmbH is based in the department of Clinical Epidemiology and focuses on risk-adapted cancer screening and cancer risk prediction. The successful candidate will contribute to the institute’s research on cancer screening, collaborating with other doctoral students and participating in the OMEN consortium project, which centers on cancer risk prediction. Responsibilities include the analysis of primary and secondary data, preparation of scientific reports and English-language publications, and presentation of research findings at conferences. The position offers a structured doctoral training program, a collegial and motivated team, and access to a strong research infrastructure within a university environment. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in health sciences, public health, medicine, or epidemiology, and possess a very good command of English. The role requires an interest in quantitative research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and strong organizational and teamwork skills. The contract is for 36 months, part-time (70%), and is compensated according to Salary Scale 13 of the German public sector salary system (TV-L).
