About this position

This PhD position in Predictive Tissue Medicine is offered at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, within a group embedded in pathology, uro-oncology, and the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center. The research focuses on personalized diagnostics and therapy using modern quantitative methods. The doctoral candidate will be responsible for laboratory-based experimental work, specifically the in vitro testing of therapeutics on primary cells and tissue, and will have opportunities to contribute to additional projects based on their interests.

The position is part-time (25 hours per week) and is limited until July 31, 2028, corresponding to the project duration. The role is classified under salary group E13 according to TVöD VKA-K, with 30 days of paid vacation per year and a structured doctoral program through the Berlin School of Integrated Oncology. Applicants are expected to hold a degree in biology, (molecular) medicine, bioinformatics, or a related field, and have experience in basic laboratory experimental work.
