Hi, I am excited to announce that the Applied AI and Sensing Lab for Infrastructure Engineering (AIS Lab) at the University of Dayton School of Engineering is seeking two (2) PhD research assistances to join our group deeply committed to their innovative research and transition to a successful academia/industry professional career. The students will work in the general domain of hashtag#AppliedDataScience, hashtag#MachineLearning, hashtag#RemoteSensing, and mixed reality for civil infrastructure systems. The work is interdisciplinary by nature possibly spanning over hashtag#InfrastructureEngineering, hashtag#DatabaseManagement, hashtag#SpatiotemporalAnalysis (e.g., hashtag#GIS and building information modeling), computational intelligence. The primary research project is sponsored by the United States Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (hashtag#PHMSA) focusing on digital transformation of pipeline maintenance and risk assessment.
