The University of Luxembourg, a modern and international research university, is offering a postdoctoral position in 5G/6G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) and Satellite Communication Testing at its Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). Key research areas include NTNs, Multicast and Broadcast Services, UAVs, UAS, Urban Air Mobility, and the development of experimental emulators, prototypes, and distributed testbeds. The role involves setting up real-world testing environments using emulators, software defined radios (SDRs), drones, and satellites to validate research outcomes. Responsibilities also include disseminating results through high-impact publications and conferences, contributing to research proposals for industrial, national, and European funding, and supporting the supervision of PhD students.

Applicants must have a PhD in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science/Engineering with a focus on wireless communications, and demonstrate proficiency in relevant programming languages and open-source software frameworks. Experience with Linux, SDRs, Docker, virtual machines, and network simulation tools is highly valued.
