About this position

The University of Luxembourg is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for the EVITA Project, focused on High Performance Computing (HPC) education and skills development. The position is based within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM), which is known for its multidisciplinary expertise and international character. The EVITA Project is a Horizon Europe strategic initiative aiming to create a sustainable EuroHPC Virtual Training Academy, empowering learners, educators, professionals, and researchers across Europe in the multidisciplinary field of HPC and related emerging technologies. The postdoc will contribute to the design, development, and evaluation of EVITA training programmes and micro-credential courses, conduct research on integrating HPC education and skills development in sector-specific contexts, and collaborate with academic and industry partners to ensure training content aligns with real-world applications and labour market needs.

Responsibilities include supporting the development of pedagogical content, participating in project meetings and public engagement events, analysing trends in education and talent development, contributing to scientific publications and project deliverables, assisting in supervising students, and managing project reporting. Applicants should have a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong research background in HPC domains and experience in developing educational content.

The position offers a fixed-term contract for 12 months, full-time, with a yearly gross salary of EUR 83,099. Applicants must hold a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. They should have a solid research background in one or more HPC domains, with an interest in interdisciplinary and applied research. Experience in developing or contributing to educational content, online training materials, or academic courses is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders across academia, industry, and policy are essential. A track record of publications in relevant fields and experience with European research or education projects is an advantage. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, multi-partner team is expected. Experience with EU funded projects is of advantage. Excellent written and spoken English is required; knowledge of French or German is considered a plus.
