About this position

Trinity College Dublin's Institute of Neuroscience and School of Psychology, under the direction of Professor Konstantinos Tsetsos, is recruiting for multiple postdoctoral and fully funded PhD positions in the field of decision neuroscience. The research group, supported by a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator grant, investigates the dynamics of human preferences and decision-making using a combination of computational, behavioural, and neural science approaches. The lab is particularly interested in advancing single-trial decision neuroscience through OPM-MEG experiments and computational modelling to understand how human preferences evolve over extended timescales.

Research topics include non-stationary cognitive modelling, biophysical decision models, time-series modelling, systems and cognitive neuroscience, neural decoding, and hands-on MEG with a focus on OPM technology. The group values independent thinkers who are eager to develop new methods and contribute to the lab's innovative research agenda. Opportunities for research visits to leading partner labs across Europe are available, especially for those with neural profiles seeking to strengthen their autonomy in the OPM lab.

Applicants for postdoctoral positions should hold a PhD in a relevant field and demonstrate academic excellence and experience in computational, behavioural, or neural sciences. PhD applicants should have a strong academic record and relevant research experience. Early career researchers (ECRs) with hands-on MEG or neurophysiology backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply. Funding for these positions is provided by the ERC Consolidator grant.
