The Department of Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, in collaboration with Aakaar Biotechnologies, is inviting applications for a temporary postdoctoral researcher position. This opportunity is ideal for candidates passionate about computational fluid dynamics (CFD), machine learning (ML), and industry-relevant research projects. The research focuses on CFD simulations of multiphase reactors and the development of hybrid CFD-ML models, with responsibilities including performing CFD simulations, employing ML/AI techniques to develop surrogate models and digital twins, and writing manuscripts based on the work performed.

The position is coordinated by Professor Himanshu Goyal and is initially offered for six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance. The monthly pay ranges from ₹70,000 to ₹1,00,000. Applicants must hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with desirable experience in CFD simulations and proficiency in using ANSYS Fluent or COMSOL.
