About this position

The University of Luxembourg, a leading international research university, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in cognitive psychology to join the Institute for Lifelong Learning and Guidance within the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE). The successful candidate will work closely with Prof. Dr Claude Houssemand, focusing on cognitive differential psychology, particularly cognitive strategies in visuo-spatial tasks. The FHSE is renowned for its interdisciplinary research culture, bringing together experts from humanities, linguistics, cognitive sciences, and social and educational sciences. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to research and administrative tasks in psychology, education, and guidance, engage in self-organised and collaborative research, apply for and coordinate international third-party funding, publish in peer-reviewed journals, teach innovatively, supervise students and doctoral researchers, and transfer research results to various communities. Applicants must have a PhD in psychology with expertise in cognitive psychology, differential psychology, neuropsychology, evaluation and assessment, or methodology and statistics. Fluency in English and French is required, with Luxembourgish and/or German as an asset. Experience in quantitative empirical methods and multivariate statistics is essential, along with a record of international publications and innovative teaching. The position offers a fixed-term contract for 24 months, full-time, with a yearly gross salary of EUR 85,176.
