Postdoctoral Researcher – Origin of Life and Proto-Metabolism – Dr Nicola De Franceschi Group The International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines Polish Academy of Sciences in Poland

The International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines (IMol) at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Membrane Machines Laboratory led by Dr Nicola De Franceschi. This fully funded, three-year position is part of the OPUS 29 project and focuses on investigating the emergence of proto-metabolism at the origin of life. The research employs a bottom-up approach to establish systems capable of generating membrane potentials and explores strategies to harness these potentials for driving (bio)chemical reactions.

IMol is a dynamic and international research institute, established in partnership with University Medical Center Göttingen and University of Warsaw.
