About this position

The Center for Electrochemical Molecular Conversion at Pusan National University, in collaboration with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join their research team. The position focuses on electrochemical molecular conversion, with particular emphasis on CO₂ reduction, N₂ reduction, and small-molecule conversion. The research group has recently been awarded a Science Research Center (SRC) grant funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), providing a dynamic and well-supported environment for advanced research.

Applicants should have a PhD in Electrochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, or a closely related field. Essential qualifications include experience with spectroscopy and electrochemical molecular conversion, as well as hands-on skills in electrode fabrication, catalyst development, and understanding of reaction mechanisms. Candidates with expertise in photoelectrochemical conversion and in situ spectroelectrochemical techniques are especially encouraged to apply. Please note that applicants whose primary research interests are in batteries, supercapacitors, biosensors, or general electrocatalysis (such as ORR) will not be considered for this position.

The successful candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from 3 to 5 million KRW, commensurate with experience and publication record. The position is fully funded by the SRC grant, ensuring financial stability and access to state-of-the-art research facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for postdoctoral researchers interested in advancing their careers in the field of electrochemical molecular conversion, working alongside leading experts at Pusan National University and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

To apply, interested candidates should send their application materials to Professor Haesik Yang at [email protected]. Due to the high volume of applications, only those with outstanding qualifications will be contacted. For more information about the research group and ongoing projects, candidates may refer to Professor Yang's LinkedIn profile.
