The University of Tartu, Estonia's largest and oldest academic institution, is seeking a Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence at the Institute of Computer Science. This postdoctoral position is part of a collaborative project led by the Data Systems group, focusing on democratizing the data science process for industry applications. The research fellow will develop, implement, and evaluate innovative approaches for responsible AI, contributing to impactful research in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The successful candidate will engage in high-quality research, publish in leading journals and conferences, and participate in international collaborations. Responsibilities include teaching and supervising MSc and PhD students, as well as preparing new research projects under the guidance of experienced colleagues. Applicants must have a PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related field, with a strong publication record and excellent programming skills in Python.
