Faculty Positions in Geosciences, Mathematics, Physics, and Related Fields at Universiti Brunei Darussalam
Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), the national university of Brunei, is recruiting for multiple academic positions within the Faculty of Science. Openings are available in Geosciences (Sedimentology, Climate Hazards & Disaster Risk Science, Computational Earth Systems/AI in Geosciences), Pure Mathematics, Statistics, Probability, Operations Research, and Computational Physics/Data-Driven Modelling. Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Physics, Geosciences, Sedimentology, Petroleum Geology, Computational Physics, or related disciplines from a reputable or internationally recognized university. Candidates must demonstrate strong research achievements through reputable journal publications and/or competitive grants, and have university teaching experience. Experience in postgraduate supervision, curriculum development, and designing demand-driven or academically rigorous programs is advantageous. Familiarity with modern computational tools and programming languages is expected for computational roles. Some positions may require Brunei citizenship.
UBD offers competitive salary packages: Lecturer (with PhD) BND40,680–BND53,280; Assistant Professor/Senior Assistant Professor BND49,560–BND76,920; Associate Professor BND87,600–BND90,120; Professor BND105,600–BND230,400. Contracts are for three years, with annual bonuses, a 25% gratuity at contract end, no personal income tax, education allowance for up to four children, subsidized housing, free medical services, and travel passages at contract start, middle, and end.
