PhD Position in Future of Work, Artificial Intelligence, and International HRM at University of Göttingen

The University of Göttingen in Germany is offering a fully funded PhD position (75%, TV-L E13, approx. €3,500 monthly gross) at the Chair of Human Resource Management and International Management, supervised by Professor Fabian J. Froese. The research focus is on the Future of Work, including Artificial Intelligence and Work, Virtual and Hybrid Work, Virtual Reality, Global Mobility and Expatriation, and Diversity and Inclusion Management. The position is embedded in a highly international and interdisciplinary research environment, with a strong emphasis on empirical, theory-driven research and publication in leading international journals. The successful candidate will pursue a PhD in Business Administration, participating in international research projects and benefiting from structured and intensive supervision, close individual mentoring, and opportunities for joint publications with the supervisor and international collaborators. Financial support is available for international conferences, workshops, and research stays, and the environment is designed to help candidates build a competitive profile for the international academic job market. Applicants must hold an excellent Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as business, economics, psychology, information systems, applied statistics, or sociology from a research-oriented program. Strong empirical research skills, experience in study design and data analysis, clear research interest in the listed areas, and excellent English proficiency are required.
