The successful candidate will join the SEART group, working under the supervision of Prof. Gabriele Bavota and co-supervision of Dr. Rosalia Tufano. The research will involve studying, designing, and improving AI-based code recommenders to support developers in automating tasks such as code writing, code review, and bug-fixing, similar to tools like GitHub Copilot. The SEART group is part of the Software Institute, a center of excellence in software engineering research. The Faculty of Informatics at USI offers BSc, MSc, and PhD programs, with English as the official language. USI is recognized as a leading institution for software engineering research in Europe, providing a vibrant and international research environment in the scenic city of Lugano. The position offers a highly competitive salary of approximately 50,000 CHF per year, with a 4-year contract.
