Graduate Teaching & Research Assistant in Finance – Real Estate Finance and Economics

The University of Antwerp, a leading European institution, invites applications for a full-time Graduate Teaching & Research Assistant position in the field of finance, with a focus on real estate finance and economics. As part of the Academic Assistant Staff (AAP) in the Department of Accountancy and Finance, Faculty of Business and Economics, you will dedicate at least 50% of your time to preparing and defending a PhD thesis in real estate finance and economics. The role also includes assisting with teaching, research, and service activities within the faculty. PhD candidates will actively organize their own research, participate in the Antwerp Doctoral School, present findings at academic conferences, and publish in scientific journals. You will contribute to attracting national and international research funding and play a key role in the academic and societal service provision of the faculty. Teaching responsibilities include supporting and delivering high-quality academic classes in finance, developing teaching methods and materials, evaluating students, and supervising Bachelor and Master dissertations. Applicants must hold (or expect to hold by the start date) a Master degree in business and economics, business engineering, business engineering: management information systems, or finance. Excellent academic results, strong research qualities, and teaching competences aligned with the university’s vision are required.
