Postdoctoral Researcher in Translational Genomics – MOSACLID (ANR 2025) & GENIAL (HORIZON EU) Projects

The Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers (CRC) in Paris is offering a postdoctoral position in translational genomics, funded by the MOSACLID (ANR 2025) and GENIAL (HORIZON EU) projects. The research will be conducted within Inserm U1138, a leading biomedical research unit affiliated with Sorbonne Université, Inserm, and Université Paris Cité. The position is supervised by Professor Jessica Zucman-Rossi, a renowned expert in liver genomics and cancer research. The project focuses on the investigation of germline mutant, liver, and hematopoietic somatic mosaicism in the progression of chronic liver diseases, cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), particularly in the context of alcohol consumption. Utilizing a unique cohort of 1,750 human liver samples and 400 blood samples, the research integrates high-resolution genomic approaches including ultra-deep whole exome sequencing (WES), droplet digital PCR (ddPCR), single-cell RNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics. Main missions include the characterization of liver somatic mosaicism, identification of novel genes through ultra-deep WES, analysis of clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) prevalence and impact in chronic liver diseases, and the integration of genomic, clinical, and histological data in a translational framework. The successful candidate will perform bioinformatic analysis of WES and RNA-seq data, somatic variant detection and annotation, statistical and clinical correlation analyses, and contribute to manuscript preparation and scientific presentations. Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent in genomics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field. Essential skills include strong experience in NGS analyses (WES, RNA-seq), proficiency in bioinformatics tools (R, Python, NGS pipelines), and statistical analysis. Additional experience in single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, clinical cohort analyses, and multi-omics data integration is highly valued. Excellent scientific English and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment are required. The position is a fixed-term postdoctoral contract (Inserm), initially for 12 months and renewable, with funding provided by Horizon Europe and ANR 2025. The research environment offers access to advanced genomic technologies and a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The application deadline is May 1, 2026, with the position starting in April 2026. Interested candidates should send their application and CV to Prof. Jessica Zucman-Rossi at [email protected]. For further details, visit the CRC website at https://crcordeliers.fr/ . This opportunity is ideal for researchers seeking to advance their expertise in translational genomics, liver disease, and multi-omics integration within a high-impact European research project.
