The University of Luxembourg is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the CritiX research group at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). The CritiX group, led by Prof. Marcus Völp, focuses on critical information infrastructures and cyber-physical systems, aiming to protect sensitive assets such as healthcare and financial data, satellites, and the energy grid. The group’s research addresses the robustness and resilience of large-scale infrastructures and real-time embedded systems, ensuring they can withstand and recover from attacks and accidental faults. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will conduct innovative research at the intersection of cybersecurity and safety-critical systems, develop dependability methods and solutions, and contribute to the design of secure architectures and systems. Responsibilities include publishing research results, presenting at international conferences, supporting project management, guiding PhD students, and participating in a dedicated training plan. The position offers a competitive salary (EUR 83,099 gross per year), a 24-month fixed-term contract, and a stimulating, multicultural environment with access to state-of-the-art labs and research tools. Applicants must have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, with valuable experience in dependable systems, real-time and embedded systems, or operating systems. Strong programming skills and systems development experience are assets. Candidates should be curiosity-driven, eager to learn, and able to work collaboratively. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French, German, or Luxembourgish is a plus. Applications should be submitted online in English and include a CV, publication list, transcripts, and a cover letter. Early applications are encouraged, and only online submissions will be considered. The University of Luxembourg is committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds.
