Postdoctoral Position in Translational Regulation and Innate Immunity

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Mehdi Jafarnejad, Principle Investigator and Reader at Queen's University Belfast, UK. The research focuses on the mechanisms of mRNA-specific translational regulation within the innate immune system, with particular emphasis on RNA biology, RNA-binding proteins, and the regulation of the innate immune response to viral infections. The ideal candidate will be a recent PhD graduate with a strong, demonstrable background in these areas, including first-author publication(s). Experience with transcriptome-wide analyses of mRNA translation (such as Ribo-Seq) or RNA-protein interactions (such as CLIP) is considered a bonus. The research group is engaged in cutting-edge studies, as evidenced by recent publications in high-impact journals such as Science Advances, PNAS, Molecular Cell, Nature Communications, and Molecular Cell.
