A fully funded PhD position is available at the University of Portsmouth in the area of Data-Centric Offshore Site Characterisation for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure. The project focuses on developing AI and machine learning models to integrate multi-source seabed data, aiming to reduce the cost and environmental impact of offshore site investigations and support sustainable energy infrastructure. The supervisory team includes Dr Shuyin Feng, Dr Andy Lim, and Dr Florimond Gueniat. The position is open to candidates with backgrounds in Geotechnical Engineering, Earth Science, Data Science, or related fields, and requires strong analytical and programming skills.
