I’m recruiting a PhD student to join me at the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development (CBCD) as part of Birkbeck, University of London 's Diversity100 studentship scheme. The PhD will be part of an exciting project funded by Wellcome Trust - using cutting-edge multimodal neuroimaging to investigate early brain development. This is a great opportunity to be part of innovative research at the intersection of brain metabolism and cognitive development.

What's required

Applicants must qualify for Home fees and be from a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic group as specified. New PhD students or current Birkbeck PhD students with at least 50% research remaining by Autumn 2025 are eligible. A strong academic background or exceptional research potential through professional, community, or practice-based experience is required. Application includes a completed PhD programme application (with research proposal), Diversity100 application form, and identification of a potential supervisor. Additional requirements may apply depending on the chosen PhD programme. Applicants should allow several weeks for preparation and are encouraged to attend briefing sessions.
