The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), in partnership with the Flemish Government, is offering the prestigious Master Mind Scholarships for the 2025–2026 academic year. This fully funded program is designed to attract outstanding international students to pursue master's degrees in all subjects at VUB, one of Belgium's leading universities. The scholarship aims to foster internationalization and academic excellence in Flanders.

Selected scholars will receive a fixed scholarship amount of €10,020 per academic year, along with a tuition fee waiver, reducing the tuition to just €139.40 for the 2025–2026 academic year. The scholarship covers the entire duration of the master's program, with funding for the second year of two-year programs being conditional. Please note that health insurance, travel costs, and language preparation courses are not included in the funding.

Eligibility criteria include holding a Bachelor's degree, obtaining an official letter of acceptance from the VUB Education and Student Administration Office, and having a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 (calculated using the Scholaro GPA calculator). Applicants must also meet higher English language requirements than standard university admission: a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 94, IELTS Academic band 7.0, or Cambridge English C1 with a minimum score of 185. Online versions of these tests are accepted.

Required documents for application include a completed Master Mind Scholarship application form, passport-size photo, international passport or national ID, official academic transcripts (with certified translation if not in Dutch, French, or English), a CV detailing GPA, academic awards, and publications, a screenshot of the GPA calculation, English language test results, a motivation letter addressed to the Flemish Government selection jury, two signed letters of recommendation, and copies of diplomas (with certified translation if necessary).

To apply, candidates must first apply for admission to a master's program at VUB and receive an official acceptance letter. Only then can they complete the online Master Mind Scholarship application and upload all required documents. The deadline for submission is 26 March 2026 at 23:59 (GMT+1). Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. VUB will nominate up to 20 candidates to the Flemish Ministry of Education for final selection.
