The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is offering a fully funded PhD studentship in partnership with the Women’s Budget Group (WBG), starting in September 2026. The project, led by Professor Wendy Sigle and hosted by the LSE Department of Gender Studies, is titled “Conceptualizing the Diversity of Care Responsibilities and Understanding the Gendered Policy Implications.” This research opportunity focuses on the intersection of care responsibilities, gender, and labour policies, aiming to understand and address economic and social inequalities. The studentship provides full tuition coverage and an annual stipend of £22,780 for 3.5 years. Ideal candidates will have an MPhil or Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Political Science, or a related social science, and must have experience with quantitative data analysis.
