The Solving Plastic Waste CRC is offering nine new fully funded PhD scholarships for research focused on addressing the challenges of plastic waste in Australia. These opportunities are open to Australian citizens, permanent residents, and New Zealand citizens. The program aims to strengthen Australia's circular economy for plastics through applied research in materials science, improved plastics recovery and recycling, systems modelling, and microplastic mitigation. Successful candidates will join leading researchers from top Australian universities, including The University of Queensland, Deakin University, University of Sydney, UNSW, CQUniversity, Griffith University, and RMIT University.

The scholarships provide full funding, including a stipend and tuition coverage, and support for research activities. Applicants should have a strong academic background in relevant fields and a keen interest in sustainability and applied research.
