There are two graduate student positions (one MASc and one PhD) available to join my research group in the School of Engineering at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) in September 2025.
Prospective graduate students should have background in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or similar. The successful candidates will work within interrelated research fields including sustainable built environment, life cycle thinking, decision-making processes, circular economy, and BIM. Funding (full or partial) is available based on the research work quality and performance of the admitted students.
Application deadline for the September 2025 intake is January 15, 2025.

Looking for a highly motivated student to join our research group here at the Roux as a PhD candidate. Through this fully funded PhD you’ll engage in cutting-edge interdisciplinary research at the intersection of materials science, mechanical engineering and data analytics, addressing some of the most pressing issues related to advanced and aerospace manufacturing and industrial ecology.
Qualifications: 1) Background in mechanical, aerospace or materials engineering 2) Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or MATLAB, 2) Background or interest in data analytics and applications of AI/ML 3) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and 4) Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
