Ontario Tech University’s Faculty of Business and Information Technology (FBIT) is recruiting MSc, PhD, and postdoctoral researchers for positions in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Cybersecurity, starting in 2026 or 2027. The main supervisor is Dr. Li Yang, a recognized expert in AI and cybersecurity, listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists and Computing’s Top 30 Early Career Professionals. Co-supervision may be provided by Dr. Khalil El-Khatib and other senior faculty in the Advanced Networking Technology and Security (ANTS) Lab.
Research topics include machine learning, deep learning, AutoML, TinyML, large language models, 6G networks, next-generation cybersecurity, IoT systems, vehicular networks, AI/cybersecurity for business applications, adversarial machine learning, and more. The ANTS Lab is funded by NSERC, MITACS, OCE, NCC, and industry partners, and is known for cutting-edge research in IT networking and security, including smart city infrastructures, cloud/fog computing, biometric authentication, and network automation for 6G.
