The Subramaniam Lab at Florida Atlantic University's Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute is recruiting PhD students to join a multidisciplinary neuroscience research team. The lab focuses on molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington’s and Parkinson’s, with research topics including Rhes, SUMOylation, protein-protein interactions, and neuron-to-neuron communication. Students will have the opportunity to use advanced genetic models, proteomic profiling, and live imaging techniques. The program offers a collaborative environment with connections to FAU, Scripps, and the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, providing training in cell signaling, behavior, and translational neuroscience. Supportive mentoring, career development, and an innovative research culture are emphasized. Applicants should be motivated and have a background in neuroscience, biology, or related fields.
