About this position

We are seeking one PhD student to join our research team at China University of Petroleum (East China), starting in Fall 2025.

For the PhD position, research will focus on development of cross-scale flow simulator, designed to integrate multi-physics pore-scale simulations, reactive transport models, reservoir optimization strategies and the application these cutting-edge technologies in enhancing hydrocarbon recovery and supporting hydrogen , geological carbon storage processes.

We welcome applicants with academic backgrounds in petroleum engineering, reservoir engineering, chemical engineering, or related fields. Candidates with interest in areas such as reservoir simulation, Al applications in energy systems, fluid mechanics, EOR techniques, CO2 storage are particularly encouraged to apply.

For international applicants, a minimum TOEFL score of 80 is required(GRE 310 if applicable).
