The EduGAP Project aims to provide causal evidence on the impact of assessment forms on student choices and outcomes, spanning schooling, higher education, and the life course. The successful candidate will conduct research in applied microeconometrics, focusing on education and labour economics. The PhD student will join an active and inclusive group of candidates at the Faculty of Economics and Management, benefiting from a supportive academic environment and career guidance.

Applicants must hold (or be completing) a master's degree or equivalent in economics or a closely related field, with excellent academic results (grade B or better). Strong methodological skills in econometrics and proficiency in English are essential. Admission to the PhD programme in Economics and Management within three months of employment is required. The position offers a gross salary of NOK 550,800 per annum, with a 2% statutory contribution to the State Pension Fund and access to employee benefits and discounts. The employment period is three years, and the position is conditional on external funding.

NTNU values diversity and strives to reflect societal diversity in its workforce. The university offers a friendly, informal, and collaborative working environment, with opportunities to participate in international conferences and build a global research network.
