The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) invites applications for a PhD position in Health Law with a focus on Disability Rights. As a member of the Department of Private and Economic Law and the Brussels Research Institute on Development, Governance and Empowerment through Law, you will conduct doctoral research examining how legal frameworks governing coercion in care and guardianship arrangements can be better aligned with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The research aims to advance understanding and policy in health law, disability rights, and family law, contributing to both academic and practical developments in these fields.
