PhD in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry – Anticancer Drug Discovery at University of Chemistry and Technology Prague University of Chemistry and Technology Prague in Czech Republic

The University of Chemistry and Technology Prague (UCT Prague) is offering a funded PhD position in Organic/Medicinal Chemistry, focusing on anticancer drug discovery. The research group of Dr. Pavla Perlíková is seeking a motivated PhD student to work on the development of novel antimetastatic compounds, specifically targeting the inhibition of actin polymerization and regulatory proteins involved in cell migration, such as Mena and the Arp2/3 complex. The project will involve the synthesis and structural optimization of hit compounds, as well as structure–activity relationship studies to advance the understanding of antimetastatic agents.

The position is funded by the Czech Science Foundation and includes a PhD scholarship and an employment contract, providing financial support for the successful candidate.
